The Journey Home Project is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization that assists other not-for-profits in securing funds to help causes that benefit veterans of the United States Armed Forces. The Journey Home Project was founded in 2014 by country music legend Charlie Daniels and board members: David Corlew, Ed Hardy and Joe and Mercedez Longever. Conscious of the need to assist our nation’s veterans, they have set out to partner with organizations that do the most good, with the least overhead. Working in tandem with these organizations, The Journey Home Project is making a difference in the lives of American patriots in helping to meet their education, healthcare and employment needs. (October 19, 2016) – The Journey Home Project accepted a check from country artist and veteran United States Army Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot, Ryan Weaver, at an event launching his new music video on Tuesday evening. Accompanied by a concert and After Glow party, Weaver gave back to the non-profit that, he says, has helped him in indescribable ways. The new video in support of his single, “Burn,” was premiered at the Bridgestone Arena Plaza to a crowd of patriotic fans and featured Benghazi Heroes depicted in the movie “13 Hours” John “Tig” Tiegen and Kris "Tanto" Paronto.
